COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDERS
It is an annual celebration intended to promote greater understanding of the issues and problems on urban poverty and to foster unity and dialogue among the urban poor, the local government, and other concerned national agencies.
Carrying the theme, “Partnership for Change with Urban Poor” Hon. Charles Ligan of the Committee on Housing and Land Use reminds all the members of the urban poor that change must start within them first.
“This is a challenge to all of us to know what’s our purpose why we are celebrating now and where we are going from here. We are here for change and for the better,” Ligan said.
During the celebration, members of the urban poor joined the parade and actively participated in parlor games and hoping that their name would be picked in the raffle.
Part of the weeklong celebration was the first Mayor Al David Uy Mini Olympics for Home Owners Association, volleyball competition for women and basketball competition for men. Jam Samal Info
