To all individuals/ corporation/ investors who are intending to acquire land properties in the Island Garden City of Samal, please be advised that you are encouraged to deal with Land Developers who are registered at the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB). Further, interested buyers of lot/s in Samal Island are advised to consult first with the City Planning and Development Office for proper guidance and information regarding the future use of their lands.

COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDERS

SAMAL NEWS | To revitalize the tourism industry of the Island, the local government of Samal through the City Investment and Tourism Office (CITO) headed by OIC Rosabel Jusguan spearheaded the launching ceremony for the Biodiversity Friendly Enterprise project and tour package for Sanipaan Island also known as the Vanishing Island located at Brgy. Tambo, Babak District.

Held last Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Sanipaan Marine Park, the event also included the turnover ceremony of the water sports equipment featuring ten (10) snorkeling sets and five (5) kayak boats with additional life vests which were funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the SMARTSeas project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The Sanipaan Marine Park Pangkabuhayan Association (SAMPPA) will utilize and manage the operation of the said tourist spot. This project aims to ensure its conservation as a marine protected area as well as to provide livelihood to the said recipients. (Shiela Saang / Photos by Christian Juntong)
