SAMAL NEWS | Healthcare workers of Davao del Norte Hospital- IGaCoS Zone receive their first dose of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines during the Symbolic Vaccination held at the said hospital today, March 18 at 9 'o clock in the morning.
"We have two types of vaccine here, one is Sinovac which will be given to 18-59 years old only and the AstraZeneca can be given to 18 years old and above. Daghan nagapangutana sa ako-a. Can we give Sinovac to 60 years old and above? So the answer is no, because the Emergency Utilization Authority (EUA) for Sinovac is given only to 18-59 years old og ato gyud na siyang tumanon", explained by the Regional Director- DOH RXI Dr. Annabelle Yumang, MCH CESO IV.
To gain the trust and confidence of the public about the COVID-19 vaccine, Chief of DDH- IZ Dr. Catherine Valera, City Health Officer Dr. Dennis Carlos Flores, other doctors, nurses and frontliners of the said hospital started the COVID-19 immunization.
Mayor Uy expressed his words of gratitude to the healthcare workers and other frontliners who committed themselves in service to fight against COVID-19. He also added to maintain self-care and remain obedient in following the health and safety protocols even after getting the vaccination. (CIO-IGACOS)
