SAMAL NEWS | DTI DavNor, distributes starter kits to businesses affected by fire incidents.
A total of ten (10) entrepreneurs whose businesses were affected by recent fire incidents from various barangays received in-kind assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry Province of Davao del Norte led by Romeo Castanaga, CESO V through the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Pag-asa Livelihood and Entrepreneurship program that was held last Friday, December 18, 2020 at Samal Island City College, City Hall Grounds.
To help them re-establish their business after the fire incidents, qualified beneficiaries were given with starter kits which includes various supplies and equipment selected according to the type of their business. Funds used on this aid is from the provision of Senator Bong Go of the Office of the Special Assistance of the President (OSAP) which was utilized by the DTI according to DTI-Business Development Division Chief Rosemarie Deypalubos. This is also in connection with the previous conduct of the DTI fire assistance which was held last October 2020.
“Nagpasalamat ko’g dako sa DTI nga bisan sa gamay nga tabang, nakahatag jud sila sa amo nga nasunugan,” said a beneficiary on an interview.
Monitoring will also be conducted by the DTI with the assistance of the Negosyo Center of the City Investment and Tourism Office to assess and evaluate the progress of the businesses aided with assistance.
