In recognition of their loyalty and dedication to public service, the local government of Samal through the City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) led by Leo Planas conferred Service Ring Awards to each of the eight (8) government officials and employees who have committed their lives in public service for the past 10 years and more of which was held last October 26, 2020 at the Holiday Ocean View Resort.
With the presence of City Mayor Al David Uy, the awardees together with their loved ones received tokens such as gold rings and bracelets and cash awards as part of the Program on Rewards and Incentives for Service Excellence or PRAISE of the local government. The government officials who have reached 10 years in service receives Php 50,000, Php 35,000 for retired government employees and Php 25, 000 for those who have reached 20 years in service.
Among these awardees are Vice Mayor Richard Guindolman who have served for 3 consecutive years from 2010-2019 and Hon. Glenn Colmenares who have also served the same length of service.
In addition, six (6) government employees were also recognized for their lifelong service as public servants. Among them were from the City Assessor’s Office (CASSO) namely Ramon Palban recognized for his 34 years in service and Ramon Soria for 32 years, Nestor Donaire from the City General Services Office (CGSO) with 31 years’ service, Ritchell Ramirez and Thelma Labalan from the City Accounting Office (CACCO) with 30 and 28 years’ service respectively and lastly from the City Health Office Olivia Bumagat with 21 years’ length of service.
This Honor Award was launched by the local government to recognize the performance of officials and employees which is held every three years.
