COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDERS

The lined-up activities were National Agency Day, Blooding letting activity, Tanum Para Sa Kinaiyahan-Tree/flower planting, Fire Rescuelympics, and the blessing of the new city hall, and the groundbreaking of Multi-purpose Building fish land facilities.

The local government of the Island Garden City of Samal celebrates its creation in showcasing different events and activities which exhibit the progress and development of the city and the unique culture of the people.
However, this year’s celebration nighttime activities that frequently entice and draw numerous crowds, both local and foreign tourists has suspended due to the novel coronavirus (nCoV). The World Health Organization (WHO) calls for all countries to exert effort and establish measures to control the spreading and prevent the deadly threat of the disease.

Thus, the local government has ordered the suspension of all night time activities during the 22nd founding anniversary to give top priority the health of people’s lives, especially the emerging serious health threat due to the 2019 novel coronavirus.
