COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDERS
The celebration highlights by the presence of Philippine National Police as a ceremonial honor guard, followed by prayer, and raising of Philippine flag, and wreath-laying ceremony by city officials, local department heads, and heads of national agencies.
Mayor Uy emphasizes the significant role of parents and teachers in guidance and educating the youth. It is the major duty to look at the welfare of the youth nowadays.
“We will protect and guide our youth, aron dili masayang ang pagpaningkamot ug legacy sa atong mga heroes. A lot of our youth today are misguided. Dili lang role sa teacher mo disiplina sa mga kabataan. Parents and teachers make it sure to guide our youth, role nato ning tanan. Balik-balikon ko na ang “Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan. Let’s remind the new generation the sacrifice and love of Dr. Jose Rizal to his countrymen.”Mayor Uy said.
City Vice Mayor Richard Guidolman in his opening message reiterated that “we are hero in our little way which began at home and as a government employee who are trying our best to be part of the development of our city, even in a small way we can contribute to the success of our Island and for the future of our country.”
The Department of Education, local government employees, and security forces from local and national agencies participate in the annual event.
